Gearing Up: WDCA Announces Novice Case Limitations

I offer a few observations, following the WDCA 's Executive Committee meeting: the first limitation incorporates the topic selected by the new Milwaukee Debate League (an urban-area education program of the National Debate Project), the second topic is an acknowledgement of the military draft, the third topic appreciates the runner-up topic (Africa) for the 2006-07 season, and the fourth topic involves an issue "close to home" for many current high school and college students. Special thanks to (in no particular order): Jason Chapman, Thomas Noonan, Michael Traas, Cheryl Bachtell, Neil Young, Kristi Plamann, Nick Bubb and Laura Maly for their input and discussion at this year's meeting.
Resolved: The United States federal government should establish a policy substantially increasing the number of persons serving in one or more of the following national service programs: AmeriCorps, Citizen Corps, Senior Corps, Peace Corps, Learn and Serve America, Armed Forces.
- By increasing armed forces recruitment incentives for college students and graduates.
- By instituting compulsory enlistment in the armed forces.
- By expanding the Peace Corps in Africa.
- By requiring service learning for graduation.

These are also pending the approval of the membership at the Sept. 23 Fall Meeting.
While it may seem it bit odd to make this comment immediately after the decision, and particularly because I think we did a decent job, but any and all concerns with the novice topics should find their way to Adam and that meeting.

Terribly sorry to be commentingon this, but I attempted to acess the pictures from last year, and it told me I needed a user name and password, and there was no place to register… so I was at a loss. How do you register, or can you made them avalible to all again? The reason I wanted it though, is because there's this chem teacher at spash, that looks EXACTLY like Gargo, I swear. I just recently updated coppermine - and that seems to be the source of the problem. I'm having some technical problems reconfiguring coppermine so that all can view it without logging in. Hopefully, I'll have the problem fixed soon.

The issue should be resolved.
Although, the word on the street is that Gargo shaved his beard - thus eliminating any similarity.
