Rostrum Archive: Art McMillion
January 20, 2010 – 2:06 pm by: Bill BattermanThe National Forensic League has scanned and posted the September issues of the Rostrum from 1967, 1969, 1970, and 1971. Chronicling the previous year’s NFL National Tournaments, these issues contain content that any debate historian will surely find fascinating. The 1970 issue, for example, contains a congratulatory blurb about Art McMillion, the former West Bend and Eau Claire Memorial coach who is a member of both the WDCA and WFCA Halls of Fame.
Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg and the NFL continues to post new historical content.

Let’s not forget the WHSFA! In fact, the clipping mentions that first.

Is there a WHSFA Hall of Fame? Or are you referring to something else?

Does anyone know where Art is these days? He was my very first mentor, believe it or not!

No idea, but he’d be a great person for Nick to interview for a WFD story. If you track down contact information, let us (Nick/I) know.

The last time I went to NFL Nationals (Wichita) he was there. However, Dave Loos decided to tell me who he was after he was done talking to him.

I also saw him in Kansas, he use to live there… but I believe that he has moved to Florida.
